Vidcode offers several cross-disciplinary courses that serve as an introduction to programming in connection with other subject areas.
In the Vidcode ELA Language Arts curriculum students will learn programming concepts with a focus on building students’ literacy skills as they develop knowledge about the world.
In the Vidcode Social Studies curriculum students will learn advanced programming concepts with a focus on integrating visual information (e.g., charts, graphs, photographs, videos, or maps) with other information in print and digital texts.
Who is this for?
Cross-disciplinary courses are built for complete beginners in middle or high school. We provide extended learning modules for more advanced students who may move through the material more quickly. These short courses are created to replace other assignments, such as PowerPoints, and take no technical skills to implement in a classroom.
